I hoped Sklz was a better quality brand but same cheap stuff as any other brand but still trying to get away with a higher mark-up. It's inevitable that the net will be outdoors, in transit, being used for athletic impact. Skillz should have done better R&D to ensure that the product would have the durability needed to cope with the elements it's designed for. 1 year isn't a long enough lifespan for a product that gets this much use and sadly, Skillz offers no replacement part option and the warranty is too short to be realistic.
