The rod is sensitive, has excellent power to land quality fish of many species. The only complaint is that the reel seat comes loose and by others complaints about it breaking maybe I'm lucky that it only loosens. I just matched it with an Abu Garcia Red max spinning reel with 15# braided line. I have been experimenting with an older Abu Garcia Tournament spinning reel. I would buy a MH model if the reel seat were redesigned. The only problem does not affect how they fish. There is a thin decorative metal ring that will detach from the bigger plastic part that tightens your reel on the seat. Epoxy would probably hold it or I could cut it off with snips. This fishing rod is sensitive enough to feel bites through a bobber on calm waters and feel strikes on the bottom. The grip is comfortable in my hands (around 7\" from wrist to tip), and the rod is very light and surprisingly durable. The only concern I have is when under heavy load, I hear creaking from the grip. I give the quality of the product 4.5 stars if I could because the grip may not be form-fitted for average or large hands or be big enough, the creaking from the grip, and in my opinion, the guides should be slightly larger (due to issues with bobber stops).
