The seat is way too deep and my baby never looks comfortable in it. Not to mention, he cries as soon as we put him in it. There's no way your baby will fit in this car seat until they're 30lbs/30inches. I love my other uppa baby products, but I would not recommend this car seat. It's way too expensive to not be able to use as long as advertised. The main pros are that it is lightweight, aesthetically pleasing and easy to use with the travel system, however, these things don't matter because of the poor design that make our baby uncomfortable. The seat is way too deep. Baby's bottom sits so far down and the angle between the seat back and the seat bottom is very tight, which makes baby crunched up. I think because of this issue, ventilation is very poor so our baby is always so hot in his seat. Even after brief rides we take baby out and his clothes feel damp all over and he is so hot. The seat is also designed very small. Even with the inserts removed our 14 lb baby looks like he is about to bust out. I can't imagine a baby still fitting in this anywhere close to 30 lbs or 30 in. I would prefer to have a seat that is slightly more heavy but has a more open design like most car seats do to keep baby more comfortable, but we did not know the angle was deep until you actually put and see your baby in it. BUT, it is sooo difficult to reinstall the car seat liner after a wash. I have tried, my parter has tried, we watched how-to videos. We have never figured it out. The back always looks like a mess and the shade pops up from the rear. At first, he hated it. I had thought the seat was made poorly. I got in touch with Uppababy support and their communication was amazing! I continued to use the seat because he was correctly fitted and figured it must be something else bothering him. I'm glad we eventually figured out it wasn't the seat. I feel like it could use more cushion for comfort, but my baby seems fine now. We outdoorsy got it because it is so lightweight, green guard safe, and can fit premie babies safely. The biggest downfall I've seen is the lower weight and height limit compared to others. Our son is already 29 inches tall and only 9 months. As a ftm I did not know much about car seats, but looking back on my earliest photos of my little one and seeing how cramped he was even after adjusting the seat nearly every time I put him in it makes me quite upset. I wish I had purchased another product. The car seat looks amazing and comfortable, but my child hates it! He screams like he's in pain when I put him in it. I feel like it may be hurting his spine as he tries to reposition his back. I've tried repositioning the head rest and made sure the harness was fit correctly.
