When they arrived I realized they are really for outdoors, as they have a water-repellent outer layer like a ski pant. But you know what? I wound up wearing them around the house all the time anyway because they are soooo comfortable! They are also great for walks outdoors in the cold and wind--they're lightweight, warm and insulating (I live on a mountain in upstate NY). Not that they're flattering (I look like a total dork), but I don't care about that. Pockets are well-placed and useful. The cuffs are quite loose at the ankle, if you care about that.
