It's warm enough to wear lighter clothing underneath. The sherpa lining really helps with that. I ordered one size down from the suggested size after doing the sizing survey, and it's a fair bit too large still. I decided to keep it, however, because I'm sure I'll want to wear it over a hoodie at some point. It's a bit stiff and awkward but I think after some washing it will be fine. Beyond the fit, it's nice and warm, looks nice, and I like the color (the dark purple). I was eager for the bigger chest pocket than my 10 year old vest. The quality is not great. I think I should have looked for a used one. My only option is to try to wash it multiple times to try for the shape I miss.
