I just have to say that it was the smartest purchase I have ever made. I wear them mainly for football tailgating and stadium wear in very cold and snowy weather. They are warm, not big clumsy boots, and the traction is perfect. I had a tendency to slip and fall prior to wearing these (old and not as steady as I used to be). For the frigid cold weather in Buffalo NY, in a non domed stadium, they are the boot to have. I just took them out of the closet for a hike today in the rain with my dog, my feet started to feel wet after a mile or so. I thought maybe I’m wrong and my feet are just chilled. . took them off and went out again later in the day when the sun came out and sure enough the foot bed was soaked. Most importantly, my feet do not get wet or cold. At all. They don't overheat, either. \nAs far as the fit, I usually wear a 9, bought these in a 9, and i can wear comfortably with thick hiking socks.
