This would make it possible for the back of the waist to sit in a more comfortable position, without it dipping down to let in a cold breeze! That said, I have tried others, but Smarwool base layer bottoms are STILL the best quality for warmth and durability. They last and last and last. Plus they are warm no matter what the temp! I even wear them to bed on cold nights.\n\nI wear a medium in almost every other legging or yoga pant, but Smartwool has always seemed to run small.
