I receive so many compliments on the color!!! I got my regular size of 9.5. It is incredibly comfortable and roomy enough to be able add a pair of socks (with tights) and maintain comfortability. I do agree with another review that they do scuff but I just rub lotion on the boot and the scuffs disappear (hand lotion nothing too greasey). First pair of sorels so don't have anything to compare it to, but definitely not made for feet like mine. My feet are long and toe box is on the wider side, but not wide enough to be classified as wide sizing wise. All of my shoes are standard size 9.5. Not flat footed but as far as I know my arches aren't abnormally high either. \n\nI got my usual 9.5. Toe box is great, but heel is huge and painful. Adding insoles only made the toe box unbearable. Put on two pairs of thick utility socks, and that did help me fill the heel better, but a hard seam scraped my heal so much that it hurt even just sauntering around inside my apartment. I can't imagine how bloody my heels would be if I tried actually walking out in the city with them. I also can't imagine how annoying it would be having to wear two pairs of socks if that had worked. \n\nI suspect that other than the hard seam inside the heel area, this shoe also has no bend to it when taking steps. I suppose that might change with a break-in period and maybe then the heel wouldn't rub so much, but again I'm not putting myself through that torture and especially not while not even knowing if it'll ever make a difference. Gambling $100+ on shoes maybe being comfortable after a whole lot of pain, or maybe being painful forever, is a young person's game. \n\nI'm at a point in my life where shoes need to fit comfortably and not destroy my feet, without needing special inserts or double socks. No longer entertaining shoes with break-in periods that require extra products to not fill the things with blood. If I'm paying over $100 for shoes, they better be comfortable without sacrificing my heels. \n\nSucks bc it's a beautiful boot and I loved how they looked on me, and reddit seems to rave about sorels for Portland winter weather. I bought these specifically for a late-autumn trip to the UK. I needed my shoes to be warm, dry, and--more than anything else--comfortable for long days in my feet (12+ hours). I wore these boots to walk around Edinburgh for 4 straight days. Stairs, cobblestones, HILLS. One day alone I walked 13 miles--not taking into account--the vertical climbing with all the stairs (if you know, you know) and my (very flat) feet still felt PERFECT at the end. No breaking in. I honestly don't think I can give higher praise. Incredible. 15/10. Absolutely buying another pair just because they're amazing. Don't hesitate. At first they feel stiff, but once I put them in they were comfortable. Good boots are worth a big price in my opinion too. These boots met and exceeded my expectations. These are a size 8 US Women's, and at first the width of the shoe was a little tight. That passed within a few days as I laced them differently and settled into them. I wear them everywhere-to the dentist, exploring outdoors, and going shopping. I haven't felt like they would slip once, and they felt secure on grass, sidewalks, wet pavement, and mopped areas. They absolutely live up to being waterproof. I do wish the laces were longer, but I can get another pair of laces easily. I usually wear a 9.5 to 10. Sometimes 9 depending on the shoe, and a size 9 in these fit great! In fact any larger and they might have been a little too loose. I'm really blown away by these boots.
