Celebrating You
Celebrating you, the person who lives with passion, is at the heart of what we do at SCHEELS. And 2025 has brought many incredible stories through our doors. Stories of determination in the face of extreme challenge. Stories of infectious joy. Stories of the fight for freedom. And stories of dreams coming true.
Here are some of the incredible and passionate people SCHEELS is blessed to have come alongside this year.
Mike & Kenzi: The Father-Daughter Outdoors Duo
A dad passing down his love for the outdoors. A daughter proving she can hold her own on any adventure. From unforgettable hunts to fishing stories that get better each time they are told, Mike and Kenzi remind us how special shared passions can be. “When I began taking Kenzi hunting, providing meat for the table, the freezer, and even our local food pantry became a big focus for her,” Mike shared. “Knowing she’s putting food on the table and helping others in our community has given her a deep sense of pride and purpose.” From donating whitetail each fall to making sure Kenzi is part of every delivery, their tradition goes far beyond the hunt. It’s about providing, giving back, and passing down something that truly matters.
Maxine: The Global Marathon Chaser
From the Fargo Marathon to completing the Sydney Marathon, Maxine continues to crush the goals she sets out to accomplish. She is now setting her sights on completing her first 59-mile ultra run in Medora, ND in July. We can’t wait to continue to cheer her on to her next marathon! “When I cross the finish line, it’s the moment where all the pain, discipline and growth come together and it reminds me that I’m stronger than the version of myself who started.”
Javier: From First Clubs to Forever Memories
Javier took his three-year-old son to get fitted for his very first set of real golf clubs at SCHEELS. That moment sparked excitement, connection, and a lifelong memory in the making. Watching his son’s eyes light up and hearing the constant question of “Can we go golf?” before they even left the parking lot was a reminder that sometimes the smallest moments leave the biggest mark. “What started as a shopping trip became a full family core memory,” he shared.
From afternoons on the course to future rounds played together in unforgettable places, even a bucket-list golf trip to Hawaii. Golf has become their way to slow down, be present, and reconnect without distractions.
Madi: A Dream Come True
When 8-year-old Madi told her mom that she wanted to work at SCHEELS someday, we knew we had to help bring that wish to life. She joined our team for a day, complete with smiles, high fives, and her own name badge. Her review was simple and perfect: “Mom, that was legendary!” And honestly, so is she.
Brooklyn: The Ferris Wheel Superfan
Some people go to SCHEELS for shoes. Others go for gear. Brooklyn goes for the Ferris wheel again and again. With Ferris wheel rides in five different SCHEELS stores and counting, she is on a mission to ride them all. You can catch her weekly riding the Ferris wheel in our Omaha location! “Today she visited her 5th SCHEELS and was able to ride the Ferris wheel there! The Colorado Springs staff was so kind to her!!” -Brooklyn’s Mom
Brent Silkey: Running for Freedom
Seven marathons. Seven continents. Seven days. Brent took on the Great World Race to raise funds to end child trafficking. He crossed the final finish line with more than $1,000,000 dollars raised. His passion, heart, and purpose inspire all of us. “When I crossed the finish line in Miami (the 7th marathon) this is what crossed my mind: all of this is worth it to RESCUE ONE GIRL from trafficking.”
From big dreams to everyday joys, our customers remind us what passion looks like in real life.
