SCHEELS® GIFT CARD TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective Date: February 19, 2026
These Gift Card Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all Scheels gift cards, including physical gift cards and electronic gift cards (“eGift Cards”) (collectively, “Gift Cards”) issued by Scheels All Sports, Inc. (“SCHEELS”, “we,” “our” or “us”).
By purchasing, accepting, using, or attempting to use a Gift Card, you agree to these Terms.
-
Gift Card Nature and Value. A Gift Card is a stored-value payment instrument that may be used to purchase eligible goods and services at participating SCHEELS retail locations in the United States; online at scheels.com; or through the SCHEELS mobile application. Gift Cards are not credit or debit cards, are not reloadable, unless expressly stated otherwise, and do not constitute deposit accounts. No interest, dividends, or other monetary value will accrue on Gift Card balances.
-
No Expiration; No Fees. Except where required by law or expressly disclosed at the time of issuance, Gift Cards do not expire and are not subject to dormancy, inactivity, or service fees. Promotional or reward cards issued without monetary consideration may be subject to different terms, including expiration dates or usage limitations, which will be disclosed at issuance.
-
Redemption. Gift Cards may be redeemed for eligible purchases at participating SCHEELS retail store locations, online at scheels.com, or within the SCHEELS mobile application. If the purchase exceeds the available Gift Card balance, the remaining amount must be paid using another accepted payment method. Gift cards have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash, except where required by applicable law.
-
Restrictions on Use. Gift cards may not be used:
-
To purchase other Gift Cards;
-
To make payments on any credit account, including, but not limited to, the SCHEELS Visa® credit card;
-
For unauthorized resale, advertising, or promotional purposes without SCHEELS’ express written consent; and
-
In any manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive.
Gift Card purchases may not count toward promotional thresholds, including shipping minimums, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Certain in-store attractions, third-party-operated services, or experiences may not accept Gift Cards.
-
-
Lost, Stolen, or Unauthorized Use. Gift Cards should be treated like cash. Except as required by law, SCHEELS is not responsible for and will not replace Gift Cards that are lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed, purchased via unauthorized distributors, or used without authorization. Risk of loss transfers to the purchaser or recipient upon delivery, electronic transmission, or possession of the Gift Card.
-
Right to Correct Errors. SCHEELS reserves the right to correct the balance of a Gift Card if SCHEELS believes a clerical, billing, or accounting error has occurred.
-
Balance Inquiries. You may check your Gift Card balance at scheels.com/gift-card-balance-lookup or at participating SCHEELS retail locations. You must have the card number and any required security code or PIN available.
-
Fraud Prevention and Right to Void. SCHEELS reserves the right, without notice, to refuse, cancel, suspend, hold, or void any Gift Card or transaction and to freeze, remove, or reduce a Gift Card balance if SCHEELS reasonably suspects:
-
Fraud or attempted fraud;
-
Unauthorized resale or distribution;
-
Tampering, alteration, or duplication;
-
Illegal activity;
-
Abuse of the Gift Card program; or
-
Violation of these Terms.
Gift Cards may not be resold, marketed, or used for commercial purposes without SCHEELS’ prior written consent. SCHEELS reserves the right to invalidate Gift Cards obtained through unauthorized distributors, resellers, or by fraudulent means.
-
-
Issuer and Assignment. SCHEELS is the issuer and sole obligor to the Gift Card holder. SCHEELS may assign or delegate its obligations at any time, including to an affiliate or third-party program administrator, without recourse, in which case the assignee will become the sole obligor to the Gift Card holder.
-
Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHEELS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY GIFT CARD USE OR THESE TERMS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE UNUSED BALANCE OF THE GIFT CARD AT ISSUE.
-
Disclaimer of Warranties. Gift Cards are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except where prohibited by law.
-
Compliance with Law; Escheatment. Gift Cards are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including unclaimed property and escheatment statutes. SCHEELS may remit unused balances to governmental authorities, as required by law.
-
Revisions to Terms. SCHEELS reserves the right to update, modify, or otherwise revise these Terms at any time, consistent with applicable law. Updated Terms will be posted at scheels.com/policies/gift-card-policy and will be effective upon posting. Continued use of a Gift Card constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
-
Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
-
Arbitration Agreement. Except for small claims court matters, any dispute, claim, or controversy between you and SCHEELS arising out of or relating to Gift Cards or these Terms will be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect.
-
Class Action Waiver. Disputes must be brought on an individual basis. Class, collective, and representative actions are not permitted.
-
Arbitration Procedure. Arbitration may be conducted by telephone, video, written submissions, or in person as permitted by AAA rules.
-
Governing Law. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. North Dakota law applies to other matters without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
-
-
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. SCHEELS’ failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
