I purchased a leading brand, highly recommended bore snake and ran it through the barrel a few times, thinking I was doing a thorough cleaning. I then used the Otis Patriot cleaning kit with 20GA patch saver and bronze brush. On the first pass, the patch was full of carbon. I then ran the bronze brush through once and followed with a clean patch. Both patches were coated with a small amount of CLP. The last patch with the Otis was clean. \r\nI shot 25 rounds of Remington 20GA Gun Club Target rounds in the barrel before the cleaning was attempted. No comparison between the two methods. I can use the bore snake as the first part of the process, but it has to be followed by the Otis cleaning method if I want the shotgun really clean. My gun looks and functions better then ever. But even better was my experience with customer service. My order got lost by my post office and I called Otis Technology to see if they could help. I spoke to a man named Jared and he was so helpful and assured me that if it was lost they would send me another one! He made sure to check in and make sure I received the item both through a call and email. This left quite a bit of material in the chamber after multiple passes. The Otis cleaning kit has a rubber disc which compresses the patch tightly against the barrel.
