The first trip to the range was a lil disappointing, as the ammo I had to test provided less than acceptable accuracy. I purchased 2 more boxes of different types, lowered the trigger pull, and went back the next day. Both of the new types of ammo were well under an inch at 100 yards, and one group of three were all touching. You gotta love that!\n\nThe bolt is very smooth. The trigger pull is crisp and easily acceptable in a hunting rifle. Mine has the composite stock, and it is stiffer than any plastic rifle stock I've owned. This is a good thing, because shooting using a bipod didn't have any negative effects on accuracy. \n\nPlain and simple, Tikka is likely the best \"budget\" rifle there is. I know it's price exceeds a lot of lower priced budget options, but I feel like I got what I paid for. It's a well made, excellent quality rifle that has proved to be very accurate with decent factory ammo.
