They are much clearer than my Zeiss 10x40’s. The reason for the lower rating is Scheels shipped me an empty box no binoculars in it and after talking to customer service they could see by the shipment it was light in weight. They did get another shipment to me but had to wait another 3 days for it to arrive. Who ever packaged the first shipment was totally incompetent and never checked what they were shipping.
