The Takedown model makes it very easy to transport. It is just as mod-able as the standard 10/22 with other options for the Takedown. It's solid and accurate. The instructions for its care and use are precise.\nWith the base stock it is a little heavy, but not bad. I like that for its stability. The backpacker stock is lighter and a great way to go, as well. Scheels has that stock for just $109 more or you can just go with the carbon fiber option they have for $556 as of this writing. I really liked the carbon fiber but I went with the base model as a matter of preference. \nIt comes with: the rifle, 1 magazine, soft case with lots of space in the case, soft case shoulder strap, mountable sight/scope rail with mounting screws, built in fold down rear iron sight. Inside the soft case is all hook and loop for setting up the case layout to suit your needs and extra loops that I don't even know for what they are intended. \nThe process of purchase was appropriately lengthy, but not painful; Straightforward and professional experience with Scheels. They answered all my questions and helped me find all the accessories I needed. This was a great purchase loading and the safe firing of the Ruger 10/22 take down model -- all of which was very straight forward. \n All I can say now is I liked the rifle & the site ( that's what sold me on them ) & I'm looking forward to doing some target shooting when the blizzard ends. \n P.S. -- Derrick in the Scheels gun dept. & all the staff I encountered were terrific, knowledgeable and friendly star before 5 star after","text":"I would give this an honest 4 star from the factory. The assembled pieces from the factory had too much difference to spend $400. Couldn't get them close to flush. So I ordered a Magpul Backpacker and topped it with a bushnell trs25. NOW I would give it a 5 star.
