I took them on a 2 week river trip rowing a boat through the Grand Canyon and noticed a few issues:\n1. My feet felt clammy and wet all day long. Despite the shoes \"draining\" and the material drying, I think there was still water in-between the removable insole and the sole of the shoe leaving my feet feeling wet and clammy all day. \nSolution: Make it a one piece shoe without a removable insole. Maybe that will work? I don't know? \n2. The shoes do not keep little rocks out. When wading through creeks, I was constantly having to stop, take off my shoes and shake out all of the little rocks. \nSolution: A tighter fitting neoprene gasket around the ankle might prevent this although it would sacrifice the aesthetics of the shoe. \n3. The soles are not that grippy when wet. Getting in and out of the boat or hiking over wet rocks was not confidence inspiring. \nSolution: Partner with a company like Vibram that specializes in grippy rubber. \nWhat I like about these shoes: \n1. When conditions are dry, these shoes are great and are comfortable to walk around in. \n2. They are a good looking pair of shoes. \n3. Seemed like the right size fit but quickly got blisters and rubs spots. I could probably wear with socks but not really what I prefer with a water shoe. I found them somewhat difficult to get on as well. I have pretty standard size foot with a fairly narrow heel (which might have contributed to the blisters). I'm pretty bummed that these shoes do not seem built to last and I would be surprised if they lasted the season in one piece. You would think for the price and considering the brand they would be good quality.
