Let's see what the hype is all about. Did some research on the type of metal u use and comparing it to my other knives. And finally decided to pull the trigger on it. I was very excited when it came in the mail. Packaging looked nice. Upon putting it in my hand i was instantly let down. It felt so cheap. And I was like, \"man maybe benchmade should spend less on the packaging and lower the price. . . did I really just pay all this money for a name?\" The handle is what made it feel super cheap. Then i did some research on the handle material and realized how wrong I was. The whole point of the handle material is strong and light wait. OK, I can by into that. But time will only tell. Then when I went to wrist flick the knife open it slipped out of my hand and smacked the concrete floor. I cringed and looked away bc I didnt want to see my brand new knife in pieces. But sure enough that guy held together with out a scratch. From that point on, I officely put it in my EDC rotation. I do love it very much. The only real criticism i have at this point is that there weren't any stickers in the packaging. The release of the water series by Benchmade got my attention but I was not able to try one out for a while. I eventually picked up this Mini Adira and I have been impressed with it. I think Benchmade's pricing scheme has been unrealistic for the last few years, so paying full price would be hard to swallow. But it performs well, is comfortable in hand, and seems to have better quality control than previous Benchmades I have owned.
