On the other hand, I'm sure you've enjoyed your time by the campfire or a romantic candle-lit dinner, because that lighting is warm and inviting. Why anybody ever thought it was a good idea to make lighting above 3600k for anything other than photography or manufacturing is a mystery to me. The product photos for this BioLite led me to believe it was on the \"warmer\" side, and since the actual color temperature is not referenced anywhere in the description, I was willing to take a chance. Unfortunately, I was wrong and this light is probably in the range 5000k, similar to the fluorescent tube light in the hallway of your middle school. The functionality of this little light is actually pretty awesome! And the dimmer feature is one of the best I've seen. But I will never use it, because I'm a romantic, tungsten-lit, Edison-style fanboy. You fooled me once BioLite! But I'm on to you.
