It has an unexpected heft to it and feels good in my hand. Fit seems good, but finish was lacking from my past experiences with Buck. The edge was not sharp and had a lot of course grinder marks. Its like it missed a stage in the sharpening process. Twenty minutes with the fine belt and some touch up with a ceramic rod put an edge on the blade worthy of the knife. The polished hardware had fine scratched left behind. I cleaned this up with a cloth and a little metal polish which left a fine mirror finish. All in all, I am happy with the knife. I have Buck knives that were handed down to me from my Dad and from his dad. I have handed many of those down to my son. Buck made knives for the ages. With this, I have always recommended Buck knives to my friends. I think they offer one of the best made and best value for the dollar in the knife industry. But I am kind of scratching my head on this one. For a $275 knife I would have expected these details to be taken care of. Buck seems to be focused on mass-production and less on craftsmanship and details these days.","textLength":1139,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":1,"downVotes":1,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":null,"firstName":null,"lastName":null,"emailAddress":null,"externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":null,"purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2026-08-06T00:00:00-04:00","customData":[],"acceptedTermsAndConditions":true,"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[{"name":"left-handed option","score":0.46},{"name":"knife compatibility","score":0.71},{"name":"craftsmanship","score":0.55},{"name":"sheath fit","score":0.44}],"syndication":{"sourceName":"Buck Knives","siteUrl":"https://www.buckknives.com/","logoUrl":"https://images.turnto.com/site/syndicationlogos/1673_LH48.png"},"catalogItems":[{"sku":"33753-0119","title":"Buck 119 Special Sheath","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/33753-0119","category":"hunting-knives-tools-sharpening-cleaning","reviewCount":245,"ratingCount":245,"averageRating":4.6,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":7,"2":6,"3":11,"4":18,"5":203},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":8841325,"locale":"en_US","rating":5,"title":"Super happy","text":"This version of the 119 looks great!
