• What size Drotto Catch and Release Boat Latch do I need for my Lowe 224 Sport Deck deck boat?

To determine the correct latch size, measure the roller bracket on your trailer. The Crestliner, etc. version fits roller brackets 3.5" to 4" wide, with a latch body measuring 3 5/8" wide. The Tracker, etc. version fits trailer roller brackets 3" to 3 3/8" wide, with a latch body measuring 3" wide. The Ranger/Stratos deep V version is designed specifically and only for those brands.

• Will the Drotto Catch and Release Boat Latch work for a 2000 Ranger 522vx?

The Deep V Ranger & Stratos version of the Drotto latch is recommended for most V-hull shaped boats. If you have a flatter fiberglass bass boat, ensure there is at least 14 inches between the top of the bow eye and the tip of the bow for proper fitment. This version fits trailer roller brackets 3 to 3 3/8 inches wide, and the latch body measures 3 inches wide.

• Will the Drotto Catch and Release Boat Latch work with a 1995 Warrior Eagle 177 boat?

The Drotto Catch and Release Boat Latch works with most V-hull shaped boats. If you have a flatter fiberglass bass boat, Drotto suggests using the latch only if there is at least 14 inches between the top of the bow eye and the tip of the bow. This ensures the latch has enough room to rest against the hull of the boat. When installed, the latch will shift the boat back on the trailer by 2-3 inches, depending on the angle of your boat's bow. If you can slide your winch stand forward on the trailer, it is recommended to do so. If not, Drotto offers a Forward Bracket system that can be attached to the latch to shift its position forward, keeping the boat loaded in the same position.

The Drotto Catch and Release Boat Latch should work with a 1995 Pro Craft 180 Combo stock trailer as long as the trailer has a standard bow eye and the bow stop is positioned correctly. Since trailer setups can vary, we recommend checking the bow eye alignment before installation to ensure proper fit.
