The retailer pitched the product value based on a Gregory representative selling tactic of jumping on the lid and not breaking and stating it’s backed by a lifetime warranty if it breaks.\n\nUsing the lid for balance getting up from a kneeling position, the lid cracked under my hand. The Gregory lifetime warranty has no value and is deceptive. Gregory declined my claim to replace the lid under their lifetime warranty. I have $10 totes from big box stores that are stronger and last longer than Gregory totes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY paying more for a Gregory tote! Gregory totes quality are far below average and their warranty is useless and deceptive.","textLength":675,"csFlag":false,"inappropriateFlag":false,"reviewedFlag":false,"autoModerated":false,"published":true,"incentivized":false,"upVotes":1,"downVotes":0,"orderId":null,"dimensions":[],"responses":[],"tags":[],"media":{"photo":[],"video":[],"audio":[]},"user":{"nickName":null,"firstName":null,"lastName":null,"emailAddress":null,"externalId":null,"city":null,"state":null,"country":null,"ageRange":null,"badge":null,"shopperProfiles":[]},"reviewedDate":null,"purchaseDate":null,"dateCreated":"2026-08-29T00:00:00-04:00","customData":[],"acceptedTermsAndConditions":true,"incentiveType":null,"campaign":null,"deviceFingerprint":null,"topics":[],"syndication":{"sourceName":"gregorypacks.com","siteUrl":"https://www.gregorypacks.com/","logoUrl":"https://images.turnto.com/site/syndicationlogos/2099_LH48.png"},"catalogItems":[{"sku":"135276-149399","title":"Gregory Alpaca 45 Gear Box","url":"https://www.scheels.com/p/135276-149399","category":"camp-accessories","reviewCount":27,"ratingCount":27,"averageRating":4.7,"ratingBreakdown":{"1":2,"2":0,"3":0,"4":1,"5":24},"active":true,"attributes":[]}]},{"id":9016891,"locale":"en_US","rating":5,"title":"Better than Expected","text":"Way better than I expected. When I opened the box, I was disappointed to discover a suitcase instead of the gear boxes. When I reached out to customer service about their error they demanded that I print a shipping label and return the suitcase and then when it was received they would ship out the item I purchased. On its first trip at base camp for a kayaking trip the boxes held up well and worked great as a replacement to cheap bins that end up as garbage too soon. I think these might hold up for a bit longer hopefully. The double hinges to open from either side or just open completely taking it off is nice to access from all sides around camp. The gasket keeping rain out is also a nice feature. Being stackable is also a plus in travels and making room at camp.
