The decoy looks great. It did not come with a stake at all. The motion is dependent on the stake so we didn't get to try that. We called tech support and they were great about sending us a stake pretty quick. When the stake arrived it was a pointed stake that you would pound into the ground. It was NOT the ring base stake that is pictured on the box. This posed a problem with the frozen Wyoming ground at this time. I guess the description just says stake, but I was expecting to get the same ring base stake that is on the box. I called back, thinking there was a mistake. I was told that they switched to this pound in stake recently and that they do not have any of the ring bases anymore. I will give the pound in stake a try now that I know this is the \"correct\" stake. It seems like a minor issue. The ring base is more convenient as it can go just about anywhere. A pound in stake will have limitations on locations as well as the potential need for a hammer. For the cost of this decoy, I'm rather disappointed.
