It was one of the first powders I tried and it made the learning process a lot less intimidating.\n\nOne of the biggest challenges when you're new is getting consistent powder charges — too much or too little can cause real problems. HP-38 flows smoothly and evenly through a powder measure, which means you get reliable, repeatable charges every time. That's a huge confidence booster when you're still building your skills.\n\nIt burns cleanly, so you won't be scrubbing heavy fouling out of your barrel after every range session. Recoil on the finished rounds feels mild and easy to shoot, which is great while you're still getting comfortable.\n\nLoad data for HP-38 is widely available in reloading manuals and on Hodgdon's free online data center, so finding a safe starting load is straightforward. It's also affordable and available at most reloading suppliers.
