I have this scope on a Marlin model 60. I questioned if I should buy a scope that cost more than the rifle. I made the right choice buying this scope. It is much brighter and clearer than lesser scopes that I've had in the past. Being in manufacturing in the U.S. I'm thrilled to buy a great product like this made here at home. Thanks for your good work. See you at the range.
Leupold Quality in a Budget Friendly Rimfire Scope
I chose the VX Freedom Rimfire line to replace a worn out fixed 4x scope on my trusty 80's vintage Ruger 10/22 Target model. The new VX Freedom Rimfire checked all the boxes I was looking for in a replacement optic. I primarily use the rifle for plinking, target shooting off the bench and occasionally for small game. The 3-9 power range is perfect for all this and the glass is Leupold clear! I really like the new easy to dial turrets and the rimfire specific parallax is perfect! For the distances the rifle is used in. Another great quality product from Leupold to add to my large collection of other Leupold optics! My only suggestion is to give us a rimfire specific optic in this lineup with target turrets and a target reticle with wind holds for my Bergara B-14 R in .22LR. You guys are missing out on a huge market of budget conscious target rimfire shooters! Thanks for making great products! #sweepstakes
I bought this scope for my Thompson Center tcr22 and I was blown away on the clarity and accuracy of this scope. I sight it in at 50 yards and it's dead on. Extremely fun to shoot targets when I just keep hitting it. Even when rapid firing. Scope stay true.
Great scope I put on my Marlin 917v in .17hmr a couple months ago shooting Starlings and House Sparrows at up to 100 yards with this scope, it's accurate now! The reticle is fine enough to shoot hairs off feathers of small birds if your good enough! It adjusts easily and feels like a stout scope, keeps its zero I haven't had any troubles with it. I would recommend this scope to a friend!
I have been a Leupold fan since the early 1990's when I looked through a VX 2 on a buddy's 22-250 and immediately was awed by the clarity and bright image. This scope for the price point is outstanding. I purchased this to install on a rimfire rifle. Like all Leupold products it is backed by a great group of people in customer service. I have never been disappointed with any Leupold purchases.
Great scope I put a 3 to 9 rimfire scope on my Ruger Percision 22 very happy how clear the glasses and how consistent the scope is I liked it so much I Purchased a second one and put it on my tactical solution x-ray would strongly recommend a scope to anyone
Overall the scope is OK for the price point. I'm not impressed with the windage and elevation dials. They feel cheap and clicks are not very accurate. As I use it on a .22 I adjust elevation a lot for different kind of ammunition and ranges and the dials are a disappointment every time you touch them.
Living in Louisiana, I've grown up shooting everything big and small and now perusing a career in the military, I know there's a well tested, accurate, and durable scope I can trust in a tree stand and out on the battlefield. That trust is in Leupold and their optics.
Purchased scope in March of 2018. Mounted on a CZ 452 to be used in 4H Silhouette, CMP, and 3 position, 22 rifle competition. Scope was sighted in and used by my son to make the state team going to Nationals in June. The very next week to the range, groups could not be held inside 3" at 50 yards. Scope was pulled and remounted on another rifle, a know accurate shooter. By then groups could not be held inside 5". Be careful what you are paying for. Leupold quality has been dropping in the past few years in attempts to compete with other companies producing high quality products at very good prices. This scope will be sent in and likely repaired, or replaced. Maybe in will hold up then on a plinking 22, but definitely not depended on for competition.
