It functions well, to remove the bolt without having to remove the cheek piece just rotate the bolt handle to the opposite side after pressing the retainer and that gives you the room you need to take it out without disassembly. Good sturdy stock. I take it on my mountain bike with a trailer when i hunt and never really see any damage no matter the weather or what i have it hitting. I like it and would recommend it. Customer service just responded with “ we stopped including mags some time ago and the box should have had a sticker stating this.” Well, it didn’t and I even provided photos of the box and the false advertising. Great adjustment for different size shooters. It allows for a mag upgrade from the rotary one that Ruger provides witch failed to feed multiple times. This the second one I have purchased for my children to fix the mag issue for the Ruger American.
