While the IR lighting allows the camera to see in complete darkness, the clarity and range depend on water conditions, such as clarity and particle density. In clear water, the IR lighting typically provides visibility up to several feet, but in murky water, the range may be shorter.
The MarCum Recon 5 Underwater Camera includes a 50-foot cable. For managing and rotating this cable during ice fishing, the MarCum Wired Camera Panner is a suitable accessory. This device allows you to place it over an ice hole and control the camera's direction, providing a full 360-degree panoramic view. It is designed to accommodate various cable sizes, including the thinner cable of the Recon 5.
The MarCum Recon 5 Underwater Camera has RCA video out capabilities, but it does not support micro USB for recording.
