I work 14 hour shifts at night and in the early hours, things frequently become slow and I open the door so I can hear the phones and radios, stand on the balcony and watch the world go by. Those hours of the morning get cool. Too warm for a coat and jackets don't have hoods. This hoodie has filled my needs wonderfully. It's light weight and warmth combined make it ideal for my purposes. I haven't warn it in the rain or had it long enough to comment on it's durability. Time will tell. So far, I would highly recommend this for anyone that needs a light weight, comfortable jacket.
I was impressed with the quality, and heavyduty weight of the sweatshirt. This can last a lifetime. I am a little disappointed though that the sweatshirt runs a little large. I am hoping after a few washes it will shrink a bit.
I have one that is 7 years old and is better then my new one The new one does not have inside zipper pocket and it is not as warm as my old one I have been a fan of Carhartt for years This is the first time I have not liked a Carhartt item
So, I’ve gone through them all. A lot of brands, a lot of sweatshirts. I may have just stumbled on the last one I’ll ever own. Surprisingly warm for the weight, the water repellant treatment (so far) is really outstanding, and it’s a perfect fit. Superb quality.
AT 6'4" 250lbs, the XL tall is perfect in the sleeves but runs way to long in the body. I own 5 of the heavyweight hoodies and they are all the same way. These sweathsirts would be perfect if the would shorten up the length a bit.
...second purchase...liked first one, so much...got second one...for when the one is dirty...comfort and wear of this item, plus one...warmth during chilled wet work times again plus one...like much i do...
Good quality, what you would expect from Carhartt.
Fit is huge. Large tall fits like an XXL. I don't understand Carhartt's tall sizing and why it's so big. It's like this in all their clothing. Pretty much done buying from them. Which sucks because their clothing is quality. Just sized all wrong.
Inconsistent/Inaccurate Sizing. Done with Carhartt
Seems to be a well-made hoodie. However, I am done with Carhartt products...the sizing is all over the place, no consistency. Additionally, they don't offer free returns, so when you order a size you think should fit, and it's completely off, you have to pay to send it back. I've been burned on this one time too many and am done.
I have a very old Hooded Zip Front Sweatshirt with Black Thermal lining that is falling apart and I was hoping that this would replace it. Unfortunately this new one is NOT as comfortable and is tighter than the older fuller cut Zippered Hoody, so I returned this one. Oh well, I guess I will just wear my old one till it falls apart.
I was Leary of spending this much on a sweatshirt, but went for it. I haven’t for one second regretted this purchase. It’s comfortable, heavy and the rain hasn’t soaked through any time I’ve had it on in the rain. The fit is perfect I usually go up one size to layer when needed. All in all aside from some scrubs this is the first carhartt purchase and definitely won’t be the last.
Nice jacket. I believe Carhartt has made the hoods bigger which is a bonus compared to the last two jackets I've owned. This actually covers my whole head with room for play. I just wish it had an inside pocket for my phone. I wear an XL in shirts, but with Carhartt jackets, I do a Large.
Based on the information on the Carhartt web sight, Xtra large should fit. Anticipating the arrival of this sweatshirt, as my XL champion is about done. put it on, and its like wearing a moo moo. Cut the sleeves off, and make a hooded poncho. Could pitch this thing and eat my lunch under it. This thing is so big, it could cover 1/10 of Chuck Norris’s awesomeness.
