I have gone through 3 pairs personally in less than 2 years. All warrantied by Crispi thankfully as the stitching or the inside of the toe box would crack on the seams with the additional stitching. My wife has gone through 2 pairs, sending the second back for warranty. And I have 3 friends who also had these boots that all pheasant hunt and dog train as much as we do and they also would crack. Boots were well cared for and leather was maintained weekly, but these Crispis do not hold up well. Recommend a full leather lower (eventually Crispi replaced with a Valdres for me, that's so far been better). I tried Kenetrek in a narrow width and still had to run two pair of socks to fill the volume. I initially ran with stock insoles and they did fit fairly well (better than the kenetrek's and without the extra socks) but about two months in I swapped them out for some Sofsole's and that was about a 25% improvement on how my feet felt after hiking 14 miles.\nI have run this from the beginning of May 2024 and its now December 2024. That puts me at ~400 miles and 118,000 ft ascended, almost exclusively off trail in Northern Utah. Like others have said they are pretty flexible and almost broke-in out of the box.\nCurrently: \nTread is almost non-existent.\nThey have their waterproofing ability.\nThere are seams on the aft outboard sides that have let loose (both Left and Right shoe).\nLaces broke and were replaced in August.\nI have done no other maintenance other than try and wash them off if they get really muddy and dirty.\nThe smell terrible according to my wife, probably not the boots fault :) ,\nThey still look great; eyelets and nose are holding up.\n\nThey still fit great and I would highly recommend if you have narrow feet and need a narrow toe box. I'm about to retire these primarily due to the lost waterproofing and low tread. The seam issue doesn't seem to be affecting the fit but probably is contributing to the leaking issue.\n\nYou would hope to get more miles out a boot for the cost but it doesn't seem like there are any brands that do.
