I had trouble finding the right size boot initially. I am typically (99.5% of the time) a size 10.5 in athletic shoes (Nike mostly). I ordered a 10.5 for these boots but they were too big. So I ordered the size 10 and the size 10 were perfect. The boots took a little break in time but all in all a quality and good product. I wear stir up style shirt stays that wrap under the foot, that cause some discomfort but it’s the shirt stays and not the boots. The width of the boot is comfortable as is. I have low arches and medium size width feet. The boots work well. I highly recommend.
The comfort system squeeks every time I step. I think they also make the boots tighter. To be honest I can't wait to get out of them between calls. I've worked EMS 30 years and I don't care for these boots.
I should have returned them for a 9.5. After about 2 weeks I find that they are light and easy to take on and off. Overall quality is great for the price. The biggest problem and discomfort I have is where the arch sits in the sole of the boot. I ordered 9 which is the same size I normally get in the Arcadia boots I have previously owned. I also used the online size selector but I feel these are off on the sizing. Probably way too late to swap them out.
Best boots on the market by far. You know when you buy new boots and it takes days to break in and constant use? Not with these. Day 1 and I’m on my feet all day 9-12 hours, ZERO breaking in. They felt like I broke them in months and months ago. Extremely satisfied with my purchase and I’m most certainly putting in another order very soon.
The boot is too thick around the ankle, too thick in the toe, and overall very uncomfortable. My pants often get stuck in the boot when getting up from a seated position and that is very annoying. I’ve worn danners my entire career and always liked how they looked and felt until now.
So far these boots have been great! Most comfortable boot I have ever worn in my 10 years in Fire/EMS. These are VERY warm in the summer the waterproof liner offers almost no ventilation and causes very sweaty feet. Additionally the cushion insole has hard plastic that rubs against the leather of the heel of the boot making a terrible squeak when walking. I was able to easily correct this with some cloth tape as a buffer.
Very comfortable, clean lines nothing super crazy so meets uniform requirements. Like the loop on the heel to get them on and off. The only thing I would like different would be the zipper. The gusset inside is great but the almost 90degree makes it really tight to get foot in without untied. If the zipper were a little longer and angled forward it would be perfect.
Awesome boots. Danner never disappoints. I would have given them five starts but they squeak so everyone can hear me coming down the hallway. Besides that they great. Fit perfectly and they get the job done.
These boots were ordered for my son who is a first responder. Unfortunately they are uncomfortably tight and pinching in the area where the beginning of the zipper connects near the foot arch and sole of the boot.
This is my first pair of Danners. I am a firefighter and I needed a new pair of station/work boot. Like any other good boot, there is a break in period, and they are loosening up perfectly. I like the polished look and the ability to polish the toe to keep them looking as professional as possible. If I had to do it over, I’d decide on a pair without the side zipper. I thought this would be an advantage to removing my boots when need be, but as I walk they unzip themselves. Which can be rather frustrating. Like I said, my first pair of side zip, most likely my last. Overall I am genuinely happy with the boot and the Danner quality.
These fit perfectly, my husband was so thrilled! It is very difficult to find shoes that fit him comfortably. Delivery was fast, ordering was easy ... I am very pleased with this company! I will buy here again!!
These boots are so comfortable! This is the 2nd pair I have purchased. Would be 4 stars, however, they squeek for a ling time in the heals until the inserts for to the boot. Kinda irritating walking around squeaking...
Warm, easy to put on boots. Haven’t had them long yet, so far so good. More comfortable after break in. My last pair was bates and where destroyed in 2 years. I’m hoping these will last longer then that.
