Not for me, but great shoe
I have always been a boot guy. I was in the Marines, and have been a mailman for 20 years, as well as a life long hiker so my feet have a lot of wear and tear. I have had several foot problems so I now understand I need the rugged sole a boot offers in the woods despite the weight penalty and other cons like the ability to dry quickly; however, as I get older, getting lighter is more and more appealing. I tried these hoping I could switch to trail runners for a more comfortable hike. I have now had them a few months and have put them to the test. Although I was able to complete some mild hikes, my feet felt beat up at the end, and I don't believe I could use these for an extended or difficult hike. I think this would have been the case regardless of brand/type of shoe, and it is not Danner's fault; it was just reinforced that I need a sturdy boot. I do see a Danner boot offered that's lighter and not waterproof like their other ones, so that might be the direction I go. I do like the Dinner craftsmanship and these shoes look sharp; I just have to limit my 2650's to walking the dog and trips to a park. On another note: I didn't like the sizing guide. I tried two different brands of shoes I own to try to figure out my Dinner size. One is 11 and one is twelve, and the guide just shot back that size for the 2650's, so that was no help; that being said, I find their sizing is a little big-maybe 1/2 size. Anyway, nice job, and I would buy again; unfortunately, they don't work for me on the more difficult hikes like I hoped, but I'm sure others would not encounter my problems. Anyway, that's my two cents-good job!

Super comfortable for narrow, slightly flat feet
I always have trouble finding shoes that fit properly due to my narrow, flat feet. Whenever I order a shoe online I anticipate having to send it back because it's not comfortable. Not this one!! This shoe is unbelievably comfortable and light! I haven't really put it through it's paces but after a few miles I felt like I was walking on sunshine!

I have somewhat narrow foot, and the Trail 2650"s fit wonderfully well. The leather tops (not sure If that is an accurate description) attracts dust and the high lace up makes them a bit tougher to slide into, but all great.

I returned after trying them on. The heel has a design that creates instability and a rolling issue at the back of the sole.

Lightweight and really comfortable. My only concern about spending this much money on one pair of shoes is how long they will last.

One of the few times
One of the few times in my life that I have put on a new pair of shoes that required no break- in period. I wore my Danners all day for several days upon receiving them. Nice style and extremely good support.
I first ordered my normal size 12 but had to return and get a 13.

Wore Danner USMC boots for
Wore Danner USMC boots for years and always appreciated the quality and comfort. Got the Mountain 600 high tops last fall and they performed very well so wanted the same fit and comfort in a low for the summer season. These have the same ultra light feel and can step into them after tieing without using the top eyelet. Only drawback is have to buy on line without trying on because there are no local stores that carry the Danner line. Red Shoe Barn in Dover NH are you seeing this? They fit perfect and are true to size 12 ee. No more Keens, these are a superior shoe in every way and my new go to.
