These boots are fantastic. I especially like the Trail Guard Shark in comparison to the Mountain 600s. The one issue I had was that if you are hiking and or working in an area that has a lot of fine sediment and or sand (like the Mojave Desert) the fine sediment can work its way in to your boot lining through the mesh heel portion of this boot. Once it is in there it is pretty difficult to get out with out slicing the inner lining of your boot.
Perfectly snug around the ankle for maximum support. Rubber soles have strong reliable grip, especially on slippery rocks. Love the waterpoof feature. Arch support is optimal. I've hiked a lot in these shoes, and I can tell you that even though they're on the expensive side, it's an investment piece for your hiking essentials.
Solid purchase. These shoes are light weight yet sturdy enough for work. They look and feel great. Can’t go wrong with gortex. Kinda pricey but quality is there I will buy again. P.S. danner dry is NOT gortex!
Really great looking shoe that is put together very well. I wear a size 13 in nearly every style of shoe but the Trail 2650 seems to run a half size large, with that said the extra wiggle room isn’t a serious problem and the shoe feels snug enough to not worry. My only serious complaint would be about the material above the toe cap. That area for me has scratched rather easily and being the very front/top of the shoe is also the most noticeable spot. Other than that I am very satisfied with the 2650 and will be purchasing Danner products again in the future.
Great shoe..very comfortable, I'm in them 10 hours per day. However I'm having trouble with the foot inserts, they are starting to move ever so slightly which gives the feeling of a sock thats not fitting under your foot.
Just got these the other day. And they feel great in hand look great as well. But it was a tight fit for me. It's fits well once in but getting in was difficult had to really squeeze in. Maybe they just need to be more broken into ?
As a longtime Danner boot wearing person of many styles that are still with me today the 2650 mids are just what l was looking for in a light weight all around boot! Everything that Danner advertised these boots to be has been spot on in my opinion as has been with each pair of boots l have in my Danner stable!! Cannot wait to see what they drop next! If you venture to the woods, marsh, or just the urban jungle the 2650 mid will serve you well! Wildawg58 Outdoors
First of all, love that they are made domestically....sole excluded:) ....I NEVER knew you existed! Found you through one of my searches about best lightweight hiking shoes on google. So glad! I typically where Keens as I have wide feet...but they are heavy.. So I went to Merril, no comfortable and North Face....too high in the heel. Did not buy them. Found you guys and I have been wearing my boots around the house and threw the box away yesterday. They fit great. Look pretty cool and the tech specs I appreciate. Thanks so much...I have already been talking you up with friends....best
