By incorporating top-of-the-line materials like Vibram with a weight-saving platform, Danner made the tough, versatile work boot feel like the kind of boot you want to put on at the end of a long day. This new last is designed to cup your heel for a secure fit while offering a little more room in the toe box to accommodate feet that are carrying heavy loads. It also comes with a dual-density EVA midsole for extra shock absorption and comfort. The oil- and slip-resistant outsole has a low profile 90-degree heel, making it versatile enough for indoor and outdoor work. For really tough jobs it has an abrasion-resistant heel cap, an all-leather upper, a non-metallic safety toe and a breathable, moisture-wicking liner for warm weather.
Durable waterproof leather upper with abrasion-resistant heel cap
GORE-TEX waterproof breathable lining
Cushioning PU footbed
Dual-density EVA cushioning and shock absorbing midsole offers added durability on the outside edges with cushioning on the inside for more comfort and support underfoot
I have been using these boots for the last 6 years. I am very hard on any boot. I buy a new pair every year due to oil and diesel fuel getting all over them due for a new pair now. Wouldn't trade them for the world
very good boots! as comfortable as a sneaker but with the support of a logger, very light weight, waterproof and durable. I spend a lot of time outdoors hiking with these in extreme conditions. ( deep snow, steep terrain, downed timber) holding up well! the only drawback is the soles get hard in freezing temperatures. I would buy again.
I had issues with another boot I purchased from Danner. It was no issue of the boot, more so an issue with me. Danner hooked me up and gave me a full refund to try a different pair. These boots are amazing. They are probably the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I wear these for 12 plus hours a day and they are just as comfortable at the end of the day as the start.
Love the boot this is my second pair I work on trail crew for my local resort in sun valley Idaho working on steep terrain the only thing that didn’t last on my pair from last season was the stitching on the side it would be nice if Danner could wrap the black heel material a bit more forward to the toe stitch to help with this issue for people like me who work in shale on the sides of mountains. It is very comfortable little to no break in period sole is great. Definitely recommend and will keep purchasing. I bought a half size smaller.
Great boot. 2nd pair just arrived. 1st pair lasted 6yrs, ordered the new pair right off the numbers on the tongue of the old. New pair looks and fits like the 1st pair. Very light, comfortable, flex and support is great, Break-in is minimal with no blisters or raw areas.
Love the Danner Boots I get,..I have had several different styles and while some are more durable than others they all have been and are comfortable and take some abuse,..I work on the fence line so I get into some thick mud, concrete splatter and of course the puddles of water to wash the bottom of the boots off,..thanks
Helped with my ankle and foot pain. Good supportive boot for walking on gravel and loose dirt all day. Seem to be holding up..only a month in though. I would recommend these boots for someone looking for support that is lightweight, and waterproof, even with the required safety toe.
Extremely comfortable boot, which is synonymous with the Danner name. There is no break in time required for this boot either. I am extra pleased and will continue wearing these boots as long as they are available from Danner.
Longtime pronghorn wearer that uses boots as muck boots. Work requires me to be in horse stalls where folks generally only wear rubber boots. I’ve not once had to replace a pit of Pronghorns because they fell apart. I only have to replace them when they smell so bad that even I can stand it anymore....about every 18 months. Hope these hold up like the pronghorns.
This is my third pair, first pair in 2015. Mainly lumber yard, warehouse work, a lot of walking back and forth. These have been the most comfortable boots for me, and easy break in. I wear these everyday, and if it’s not to hot, I prefer these over my hiking boots.
These boots are so comfortable and feel durable. There was no break in period for me. I picked a half size up 10/2 and they feel just right with the extra room. The toe box is nice and roomy adding to the comfort.
It may not be terribly common but I ordered a pair of these to work in a few months ago. I was looking for a boot that was durable, able to handle getting wet and muddy while also being able to be cleaned and not be totally soaked, and that would be able to handle working on rough terrain. I have been pleasantly surprised with these boots. I have actually been happy enough with them that I took them for some hikes this winter, mainly because they are comfortable, dry, and have excellent support for walking on rough terrain.
Now to the only major issue I have found so far. There is a squeak in both foot when I walk and when I move my foot around, and I didn't write this review when I first received the boots because I was curious if it would go away but it has not. And I have looked in the past about getting rid of sqeaks in shoes and normally it is between the sole and the bottom of the shoe, however this seems to exist right in the bend of the boot, likely between the waterproofing and the boot itself, which isn't a huge deal to me, but is the reason they didn't receive 5 stars.
Overall excellent boots, that I have put some miles on so far and literally show little to no signs of wear.
