I had them on for less than 5 hours and the tab on the back ripped while I was pulling them on. The boot itself isn’t uncomfortable, but I got them for the ease of pulling on and off with the strap. I reached out to customer support a week ago and haven’t heard a word back. They’ve been nice fishing on the kayak, boats, and from the jetty. Visually, I can tell they’re higher quality than other deck boots out there. There are no glue seems visible, and after a summer of fishing just about everyday straight, there’s not a single stitch out of place still. I’m a size 9 and they run true. I wrote the support group about 5 days ago with an issue I was having with my boots. To my surprise Jack Naughton of the support team contacted me with some options to help me with my problem. I made a selection from the options Jack provided me with and emailed Jack back. Grundéns support team responded to my email in minutes not days, or weeks it was literally minutes with confirmation and resolution to my issue. I am so over the top happy with the way Jack and the Grundens Support team handled the issue but also with the way I was treated. Jack Naughton was respectful and considerate and quick to share the credit for my satisfaction with the entire team. I am so grateful and satisfied with the whole process and my experience the Grundens support team. About 6 months into wearing them the sides on both shoes started separating at the bend point behind the toecap. This happened on both shoes and it’s just gotten worse over time and now water can get into them easily. Even though xtra tufs break in about 8 months, i would choose them over grundens any day of the week. These boots fit poorly, they can't just be slipped on, they require 2 hands to put them on your feet, and I got blisters from wearing them my first time after just walking in them for like 20 minutes even when I was wearing thick socks. Also their return policy doesn't let you return them after wearing them once, but how else are you going to find out how terrible they are?
