There is no way they can be worn with a thick sock without sizing up. Had plenty pairs of their sandals and loved them. My work does a boot program and these are approved so I figured I'd give them a shot. \nFlat out these are the best boots I've owned. Easily 250 days on these in the last year and they are still holding up! No laces replaced, no broken eyelets, no torn seams in the upper. After that amount of time I have the SLIGHTEST bit of separation in the upper from the sole on one boot and the soles are definitely starting to show their age. They're not quite as nobby. SUPER comfortable as well. I had no issues with these right out of the box!\nFor context I work in the railroad industry. Days walking on ballast, climbing ladders, walking through soot and substances of questionable origin and they've held up strong. I've also worn them a lot outside of work while fishing. Multiple times over stepping in mud, in creeks, etc. \n\nWith my boot voucher coming up I will definitely be considering getting a replacement pair. But these are in good enough shape still that I could definitely still squeeze a few months out of them. Great boots. Theses are not great for actual winter/cold conditions. I wore them in 3 inches of snow while shoveling. My toes were almost frozen the out soles got really hard and lost all flexibility and traction. The temperature was 12 degrees.
