They lasted 5 years. Why do I love them:\n- Wide toe box gives plenty of room to move\n- Full leather outers and partial leather interior so they're built to take a beating. \n- Front of the boot is fully leather wrapped -- less seams to rip or leak. \n- Comfortable -- like wearing slippers without compromizing the stability/ankle protection. \n\nThe only negatives are they're not officially resoleable and the soles will wear out faster than Vibrams. However, there are online cobblers that will resole on them. Was considering going that route but my feet have grown a half-size in five years and decided it was better to get a new pair.\n\nI've read reviews mentioning weight as a factor and the Pyrenees aren't great for warmer climates. \n\nFull leather boots are going to be heavier by nature than fabric. But, I've never noticed it being an issue. I do alot of hiking in the Unitah Moutains (Western Rockies) with 5-6K elevation changes. And, have hauled a few elk out of the backcrountry. The weight and stability of the boots has never been an issue.\n\nUtah summer temperatures can get well over 100. The full leather makes the Pyrenees less breathable than fabric boots. After requesting a new set of insoles for my Winterport, they let me pick a brand new set of boots instead. (I still have the outstanding Winterports. ) I randomly picked these. Absolutely the best civilian hikers I’ve ever owned. I was both Army and Marine infantry, so I’ve put plenty of miles down and I value a good pair of boots. Roomy, comfortable and incredibly durable. I just bought an identical pair. They were comfortable out of the box but the sole started to separate with little wear. Had them almost a year, due to wearing them out in public like a dress shoe, and the sole started separating with probably not even a months wear. Now they are just over a year old and started wearing them more as a work boot and the sole is coming off all around. Highly doubt there will ever be another pair of Keens on my feet.
