I tried them on in store and I wasn't exuberant over them but I felt like they were comfortable (as comfortable as possible with 5 mins of in store wearing). However after just 3 days wearing these (I'm a truck driver for reference) my ankles are absolutely in agony. The back of the boots swoop down and no matter how I adjust the tighness of the laces it just seems to dig into my achilles. I've found the tighter I make these they also begin to put pressure on the sides of my ankles. Wearing these for a full work shift (12 hours) is exhausting constantly trying to readjust and get these comfortable. I know these aren't Keen Utility boots, but the store I visited only had safety toe styles and my job does not require a safety toe. But I wouldn't even want to wear these for their intended \"hiking\" purpose. \n\nIt's gotten so bad I am going back to wearing my 15 month old Renos because these Pyrenees are so awful. The stores policy states that once they've been worn outside they aren't eligible for return - thats fine. But I'll make sure no one makes the mistake I did with these. One major issue, didn’t even last one season of moderate hiking. I hike and work outdoors for a living. These would be a 5-star boot all day if they didn’t fall apart so easily. The tread is all peeling off the sole, the sole is all peeling off the boot. It’s ugly. A waste of leather. I will say that Keens other boots that have the glue free sole and lifetime delamination warranty are the only boots they make that have lasted over a season. I would love to see Keen apply that technology to these boots and their others across the board. They lasted 5 years. Why do I love them:\n- Wide toe box gives plenty of room to move\n- Full leather outers and partial leather interior so they're built to take a beating. \n- Front of the boot is fully leather wrapped -- less seams to rip or leak. \n- Comfortable -- like wearing slippers without compromizing the stability/ankle protection. \n\nThe only negatives are they're not officially resoleable and the soles will wear out faster than Vibrams. However, there are online cobblers that will resole on them. Was considering going that route but my feet have grown a half-size in five years and decided it was better to get a new pair.\n\nI've read reviews mentioning weight as a factor and the Pyrenees aren't great for warmer climates. \n\nFull leather boots are going to be heavier by nature than fabric. But, I've never noticed it being an issue. I do alot of hiking in the Unitah Moutains (Western Rockies) with 5-6K elevation changes. And, have hauled a few elk out of the backcrountry. The weight and stability of the boots has never been an issue.\n\nUtah summer temperatures can get well over 100. The full leather makes the Pyrenees less breathable than fabric boots.
