Minimal break-in period and comfortable for all day. Purchased the insulated model for my Wyoming hunt and they did not disappoint - through rain, sleet, snow, and challenging terrain. \nThe hike out with a full, loaded pack was not easy but my feet never complained (my back / hips weren’t too happy with me, though!)\nI’ve used other boots over the years but since discovering the Kenetrek EverStep line, . God blessed me with an orthopedic surgeon who understands CMT-and trust me I’ve seen at least 100 doctors who don’t. In the summer of ‘24 I had my foot rebuilt and it is beautiful but I got overexcited walking straight for the 1st time in 20-30 years and my ankle collapsed. My surgeon recommended a Minnesota Boot-open toed plastic boot but Hangar didn’t know what it was. I found your Kenetrek Everstep Orthopedic 400 while searching the internet. They have been a Godsend, I can stay on my feet 8-10 hours a day and do what I need to do pain free. The stiffness of the boot has also helped a great deal with the foot drop. Although they are a stiff boot they are super comfortable to wear all day. I have severely messed up feet. These boots are the only thing that keep me working eight hour shifts. . . . With all that being said, I had great expectations for these boots. These just fit differently and felt really uncomfortable. The first few weeks in there's still not awesome. . . i noticed that the non insulated version of everest is way less comfortable than the insulated version. . . However, it is far too hot for me to have insulated boots in the summer. So here we are. I bought boot stretchers to widen the toe. Box, even though the boots are a size and a half too big . . . . . These boots give me confidence that I will not roll them in harsh conditions and have exceeded my expectations. They are extremely comfortable and the break in period was reasonable for a boot with this much support.
