A few years ago I got the same pair, in 9 days on assignment the soles were completely gone- cowboy boot slick. Internet rumors said the issue was fixed so I bought another pair. Hiked a total of 4 miles in an out of a local incident. The sole had chunked away, several lugs were gone and more were tearing. I’m only 185lbs, this was in mild terrain. They refunded my money I returned them. The rep said I must of had a defective pair, I think 2 defective pairs years apart is a bad excuse. The first batch 18 of us had the boots on the crew… all of them were destroyed in the same timeframe. He said they are extremely comfortable—much better than the boots he was originally issued. The only small issue he had was with a few of the shoelace eyelets, but overall, the boots have been excellent. Customer service was also outstanding.
