","text":"First, to qualify this, I am a big King's Camo fan. Virtually all of my apparel is their XKG line. However, as good of an idea as these pants may be in theory, they need some serious reworking to be at all functional. The HUGE, GLARING issue is that the zipper grinds into your hip. I just did a 5 mile, 30lb training hike with these pants. It was my first time wearing them, and will be my last. The combination of pack weight and a nagging zipper was enough to ruin an otherwise wonderful day. The material of the pants is great, but, man, what an unfortunate reality of the zipper. I'm falling in love more and more with Marino Wool. I wore these pheasant hunting SD at about 15 degrees with the Ridge pant one day and the Preacher Pant the other. Both days kept me warm and in fact after snowshoeing through the cattails and drenched in sweat the wool did its job and still kept me warm even though I was soaked. The zipper feature is great because during the 5 hour ride out to SD I didn't have to completely strip down to put them on when we arrived to hunt.
