The oldest pair are starting to fray at the articulated leg darts, are at least 10 years old and still look good. 70% of my long pants time is wearing these pants. The phone pocket works good for big phones. These pants are structurally sturdy. I like the way the dye behaves over time. I know everyone's body style is different, but the Free Rydr do not fit me as comfortably around the waist (they ride lower), and the taper is less than I would like at the bottom of the pants (probably due to the additional material at the back of the ankle for the scuff protection). They also shrank quite a bit after the first wash/dry. As a positive, they seem to fit more comfortably the longer I wear them, so maybe they just have a longer break in period than The Law Jeans (which fit more perfectly from day one). As with any of the Kuhl merchandise that I have purchased, they are well designed and well made with quality materials, and I can tell that they will serve me well for a long time. After washing, the pants shrank by almost 2\" in length and I can't wear them. The Kuhl customer service chat says that I can't return them since they were washed.
