I wear this while working and playing outside in cold weather with just a standard long sleeve tee underneath. While skiing I'll wear it underneath a shell. It's incredibly comfortable and warm I and love the way it looks. Although, it's a little more boxy around the waist than the very fit model makes it look in the photos. The collar is ideal as it stays in place and the snaps make it easy to take on and off.
Is it a “men’s shirt”? Perhaps. Am I a girl? Yes. Is it the perfect jacket for taking your new puppy outside every 15 minutes when it’s 30-50 degrees out? Yes, and my dad is tired of me stealing his. I’m 5’6 - a medium would’ve fit correctly, but I like the large. Very comfy.
Stumbled onto a Kuhl shirt at my local bike shop a couple of years ago. I ride bike in it, carve out trals in it, and sometimes sleep in it. The shirt looks much like it did when I first put it on new. Since then I have purchased Kuhl pants, coats and more shirts. I love the way it all fits and the way everything looks. Very Kuhl man!
So far I love this flannel. It is surprisingly warm for how lightweight it is. Fit is pretty good if not on the large side. I am 6 foot 210 and the large fits well if not just a tad big in the mid section. Overall this is a great flannel and feels like it will hold up well over time. Would recommend .
This is my second Joyrydr. It is mine and my wife’s first choice of winter ranch wear. Both of ours stay on the coat rack in the fall/winter here in the south. Very comfortable and surprisingly warm for the weight.
It’s bulkier than I expected, but that is far from a problem. Its inner layer keeps me incredibly warm, and I’ve taken to using it like a jacket. This bad boy had me sweating while hiking in 34 degrees. Worth every penny.
Greatest shirt jacket ive ever had, so comfortable, warm and well made. I bought a second one XL so I could wear a hoodie under, first was a Large that fits fine with a tee shirt under but too small for a hoodie. I'm 6'1 190 pounds. Size runs a bit small I've noticed with this brand compared to brands like North face and Carhartt where I can where a hoodie under a Large jacket no problem.
This is hands down a 5 star product. I wear it just about everyday. I like the mix between a shirt and jacket. Can be worn anyway you like and it’s nice and warm too with the fur lining. The fit is also nice. I have 2 of them in different colors. Thanks Kuhl!
The title is for a reason. I hate buying clothes online due to fit always being different depending on company. One brand I ordered two flannels from, the same size, and one fit and one didn’t. How doesn’t the same company, same order, same brand, sell two items the same size, yet one didn’t fit and the other did. In today’s world, online shopping is taking over. Both items I ordered fit perfect, so Kuhl’s fit chart is accurate. Materials are great. Looks great. This is perfect for those non super cold places. I live in Phoenix where it’s chilly right now, but not freezing. Perfect for here and when I go further north to the high and cold country of AZ, I just put a hoody on under it, and I’m good for freezing temps. I’ve order from Kuhl for a year now, and will continue. Most times I order online from a company, I am not impressed and never return. I’m an outdoorsmen, so I demand performance from my clothing, and Kuhl performs.
Looks nice, may be perfect for some but the fit wasn't for me. Most of the sizing in the arms and chest was good but the length was long for me. I didn't care for the look. Other than that it looked like an okay product. I returned it for a chance with a different style
campfire, social cigar, light hike or cool morning cup of Joe
This heavy outerwear shirt is great for multiple outdoor activites or cool winter morning cup of Joe. If I could compare this, I know I'm going to get hate mail for saying this, I would say it's close to a military field jacket liner.... that being said, nothing beats the old liner. I'm 220 lbs and 6'. The XL has plenty of gut room, however I have long arms and the sleeves could be longer. Highly recommend!
I've used it for work (i work outside) and its kept me warm and comfortable in 40° F even with a little wind. Its been through a sprinkle and stayed dry. Worn it to family stuff and out at like bars, people like asking where I got it. I always have in issue with picking out a size so here's my stats I hope it helps you pick the right size. I'm 5'6 a little on the thick side athletic wise chest size about 40", waist 30", and arms on the long side at 34" I got a small and it fits nicely and snug to my preference; I could of gotten a medium and it would've been fine just a bit more space for layering but I don't plan on layering this so I wanted a snug fit.
I dig this jacket. It's warm, very cozy, but the sleeves are a bit short. I'm 6', about 160lbs, I usually wear size medium, my dress shirt sleeve is 34/35, and I think I'd have been better off in a large with this one.
I wasn't sure about the color. I ordered the mahogany obsidian and the color looks much better than it does on the website. The shirt fits perfectly and is roomy enough to layer over another long sleeve shirt. I do wish there were inside pockets.
I am very happy with this shirt-jacket. The fleece lining is super-soft, and the smooth nylon lining in the arms allows you to easily get it on over a long-sleeved shirt. I really like the hand pockets, which were an unexpected surprise. It is also unexpectedly warm, but not too warm. I am about 5'11", 210 lbs, and the XL was the perfect size. However, if it shrinks at all after washing, it will be too small. I typically wear a L or XL in jackets and flannel shirts, so the sizing was pretty typical, if not a bit on the small side.
This is a great mid weight long sleeve shirt! I have three different colors. Two size large and one size X Large. I'm 6' 2" 190 lbs long arms and broad shoulders. The sleeve length is just right maybe a little shorter than I like. The chest area through the shoulders is a little "tight" when reaching or cross arms. So I wear the size X Large when I want more room or layering for weather here in Colorado. Most times wear with a t-shirt and size Large for perfect fit. The material is rugged but soft to touch. Good in snow but haven't tested much in rain. Bottom line....its well worth the money.
