The KÜHL RYDR PANT is cut from our exclusive combed Cotton Euro Twill for tenacious, yet luxurious, style. The fabric has been slightly brushed for a softer feel, but tough durability remains. Kuhls' FULL FIT features a full seat and thigh for a more relaxed fit. KÜHL's Born Free gusseted crotch and articulated knees allow freedom of movement, while the original yoke system and anatomically engineered fit follow your body's natural contours for superior comfort. Double needle bar tacks add reinforcement at critical junctions, and reinforced pockets and bottom cuffs reduce wear.
KÜHL's signature cell phone pocket keeps your phone out of the way and easy to retrieve. River wash treatment creates a weathered, 'lived-in' look; made to fade.
I've been wearing pants from the 'other' mountain brand for years, but I'm a convert to Kuhl now! These have a little bit of stretch, and are much more comfortable, but tough! Nice enough to wear to a meeting.
These pants are really well made and seem durable. The fit seems off for me--they seem true to size in the waist and normal in the lower leg for a looser pant, but the butt area is really baggy (I'm size 28 and it feels like these are cinched down 32s. As they break in longer and get softer I may notice it less, but with the stiff pockets I get sort of a shelf above the pocket. I know they make a klassic cut version which may fit better, but those don't fit well over boots for me. Strangely, these are shorter than any other 30" inseam pants I've had, so they hardly reach to fit over boots. I also bought the Hot Rider which mostly fits the same but are much longer for the same size. I think I just can order Kuhl pants without trying that model and size on.
After reading so many good reviews, I really want to like these pants, but they are a really weird fit for me.
My weight fluctuates a lot so I’ve got about 10 pair. What is great about them is they are durable and comfortable. I’m in construction so they eventually become work pants. No lie I was about to make another order because I got paint on a favorite pair yesterday, I grabbed my phone from the other room and this e mail was what I’d missed ... best pants in my opinion.
Love these pants Now that I have the right size. My only complaints would be the drop in cell pocket is to small for today’s phones if they are in any sort of real case, the front pockets are still a bit on the small side for a big hand to get in and they sit a little lower on the waist than I like but those are small details compared to the comfort, range of motion, and material comfort these pants offer. One other complaint is there needs to be an additional belt loop near the back side to prevent a belt mounted multi tool/knife from Sliding all the way the the center rear belt loop.
I had my previous pair of Rydr pants for 10 years. Wore them casually at first then wore them hiking on the AT and as work pants doing DIY home projects. Now this new pair are perfect and looking forward to getting 10 years or more out of them.
Had a pair of these outlast all my other brands. I put heavy use to my clothes living/working up country in the mountains. Crouching was easy, knees held up, held up a long time in some rough conditions.
This is the first pair of Kuhl pants I've owned. I'm very picky about the fit and function of my clothes and I don't have a single bad thing to say about these pants. First, the sizing is true - no vanity sizing. Most other brands don't even make a waist size that actually fits someone with a true 32" waist. I also love that you can get your waist size with a variety of inseam sizes. I got a 32x36 and I've never seen another brand that even makes that size. The construction is top notch and the design/cut of the pants is perfect for both fit and function. Even being a durable canvas, these pants offer great freedom of movement. I bought these specifically for motorcycling and hiking. They are just roomy enough to wear armor underneath without being baggy. I first wore them on a 300 mile day ride that had some hiking at my destination. They performed great, both on and off the bike. I will definitely be buying more Kuhl pants.
This pant performs exceptionally well. The design of the pant gives me all of the movement and flexibility I need for hiking trails and city blocks. The best feature of the pant is the side pocket for cell phone. The issue I have with that pocket is that it might be a tad low, causing the phone to rub on the tendon (primarily when the phone is in the pocket on long all day hikes and never taken out, otherwise it’s never an issue). The color of the pant is nice but I can’t stand the fading. I personally think that is a flaw, not a cool feature. Very durable and excellent for photography as well.
These pants hover magically over my legs. I never thought my old pants chafed until I wore these! Because they press so lightly onto my skin they are somewhat colder than I expected given the material thickness, but they are well complemented by thermals. Tough fabric, ease of movement, and allergy to leg-hugging make these great all round pants that I'm looking forward to wearing for a long time. Highly recommended, versatile garment ideal for work and outdoor activity. Will buy Kuhl again.
Ordered several pairs of 35/32 of several styles and all fit like a glove except these were too long. Although they were labeled 32"L long they were more like 34"L. But no problem as they accepted them back with no shipping. Other than that they were the heaviest fabric out of the ones I ordered and would be good for heavy work or winter. The Black and Blue color was more like just plain Black but perhaps with some washings the blue would come out a little. It's hard to choose with so many styles. If you have a store nearby you might try to shop there to try them on first but I've liked every pair of pants I ever bought from them. Highly recommend overall!
All is great but the snap button doesn't hold well. This has been true on some pairs I've had for awhile, but a new pair out of the bag with a snap locking problems is not good. The snap needs a better fit, positive "snap", as it doesn't quite close positively and thusly pulls open.
I love those pants. Last pair I got for almost 10 years, wearing them all the time, the material is very ridged and change the color over time nicely. Unfortunately I got some paint on them and it was time to get new pair. Thanks Kuhl
Fit and utility good. Wish there was an additional "loop" for belt so pants would stay up better...pants always seem to fray around bottom of pant legs even though I'm 66 and don't really subject them to anything other than normal wear
These are my go-to pants. I by another pair every time one wears out. I love the way they look, feel, and perform for all of the activities I do but especially for my long treks looking for shed antlers with my dog Gracie. The best part about these is that I can walk out of the Maine woods and into for supplies without changing pants and I don't look like a hiking bum.
