Durable, warm, and nearly perfect.","text":"I bought my first one of these last year. I purchased the fleece lined and normal lining versions in Black and Blue. I loved them so much I bought both again in Carbon Gray to give me some options. I use the Carbon lined and non lined for my motorcycle rides in the spring, fall, and winter. They keep me warm, deflect the impact feeling of nearly all debris that may hit my chest area and arms. I love the inner security pocket for my wallet/phone. As well as the rear draft flap area which keeps wind from coming back up my jacket and shirt while I ride. Definitely makes my evening and afternoon cruises more enjoyable. I bought the XL. For the non-lined I wear a light dri-fit style base layer to keep me warm with it when the sun goes down on my evening rides. For the winter time i switch to the fleece lined one which I love the sealed off cuff and rear waist. Helps keep in the warmth. Any seasoned rider knows once you are riding and the sun goes down temps can drop quickly. I am never cold or too chilly with this jacket. It cleans up easy and layers well when I need to. The gusset cuffs are great for fitting around my riding gloves. I love this jacket. Dont ever stop making it! If there was one thing I would improve on is if i could add some breathability under the arm area a vent or something. Then i could wear it year round for rides. However, if you are like me then I know you are checking the reviews for more detailed info. These 4 things I mention aren't meant to imply the jacket is bad, I am just giving some honest info. 1. Fit is true to size, that being said like most Kuhl products, it is an Athletic fit. If you have lengthy torso/arms, or a beer gut, you'll want to size up. 2. I own Dark Khaki, Carbon, and Black colors. The black gets a bit of a white chaulky look to it as it ages and is washed. The material does attract pet hair, if you have pets, I suggest you go with the Dark Khaki or other lighter colors. Dark Khaki is my favorite color of the 3 I own. 3. The jacket isn't really water resistant, but unwashed out of the packaging it will bead a bit. After the factory coating is gone after a couple washes, the water will soak in, but in light rain or drizzle it's still fine for a few hours before it soaks through. You could wax it yourself if you want it to be water resistant, but I hate wax as it will get all over your car's seats and stuff. Don't use it as a dedicated rain jacket and you'll be fine. 4. It is Canvas, not a modern tech material. After awhile bacteria will grow and it'll give off a slight cheesy smell.
