After suffering for a few weeks in Minnesota -30-0 degrees with just regular boots at work, I decided to get something warm and these didn’t disappoint. Even when sitting for longer periods of time and my feet would start to get cool, just a little walk or movement and the boots would warm right back up, but if your going to be fairly active with them I’d get the 1200 gram boots
Seem to be as warm as advertised, great for ice fishing. Don't recommend these if you have a long walk to the stand these boots are heavy but other that that they look like they're just as well built as when they were made in La Crosse, WI.
After trying several different brands and models, I chose these. They are great so far. I have worn them on Goose hunts from around 40 degrees to around 0 degrees and used them to work outside down to about -10 degrees. They are warm and my feet stay dry. They are very wide on the calf, allowing for room for my big calves and my pants. They stay put on my feet pretty well, even though they are a half size too big...which is the only reason I didnt give 5 stars....no half sizes.
If you are prone to cold feet during late season hunting or ice fishing, this is the boot for you. I had to get the 1200G ones also because these we're too warm if it isn't below zero degrees! Very comfortable and we'll built!
Treestand hunter that has tried a bunch of boots: Cabelas Iron Ridge 400 gram insulated, kamik rubber boots, Cabelas insulated hunting boot, others. This pair is meant for those bitterly cold/ windy days and they will perform well. I had them out in about 15 degree weather with some wind and my feet did not freeze like with most other boots I’ve tried. I normally wear an 11.5 -12 size shoe, I opted for the size 12 boot, it was good choice. Two small gripes- fastening system is small and seems flimsy (will hold tho) and it is difficult to remove the boots because of no real ‘kickoff’ point on back of boots. I think these small items are worth the trade off for the warmth performance, though. Good boots, get them.
Great boots! Bought these for the Minnesota winter and they were as advertised. Great grip, keep feet warm in sub-zero temps and allow for traipsing through deep snow with none getting in your boots. Recommend if that’s what your looking for,
Early Christmas present for my son. Loves them. Kept his feet warm hunting this year. Eager to try them ice fishing. Replaces his over 10-year old lacrosse boots that gave their all last winter (R.I.P.)
Boots fit large. I typically buy a size 12 boot for my 11.5 shoe size but needed these in a size 11 because the 12 fit more like size 13. Otherwise very warm boot, my toes typically turn white deer hunting but not as bad with these boots.
