This is the first pair of shoes I have ever ordered online and I did so after trying on a par in a store but they didn't have the right color. I will go to the ends of the earth to find gear I like in a store so I can try it on. I ordered these though because I knew the search was over when I tried them on. The one pair of Hokas I bought three years ago were terrible until I took them into the backcountry this summer where they were a tough although stiff and rigid shoe and the Goretex was very nice. I spent a lot of time looking for another Goretex shoe and glad I found one that seems to be comfortable too! Will let you know how they do after some long hikes. My issue with them is that they seem to have an extremely narrow toe box. They also have a hard spot on the stitching on the right shoes tongue. Both of these issues are making it difficult to wear the shoes for long periods of time. I am a UPS delivery driver and walk around ten miles a day. However, this shoe was very tight in the toe box even though I have narrow feet. The top of the shoe where the bottom of the shoelaces start was so stiff it was painful and caused a bruise on the joint of my big toe. I walked probably at least 50 miles because I wanted them to work, but they never loosened up. Returned them for a pair of Hyalite Low B-Dry Hiking Shoes. They are best Oboz yet!
