The beak in process was a little bit rough because the tongue has such thick padding and left blisters through my socks on my ankle. After that, they have been nothing short of magical. Hiking through the back country in West Virginia and most recently the mountains of Gila National Forest in New Mexico, I can't say much negative about these boots. The leather is supple and flexible but still waterproof and just enough structure to prevent my ankle from rolling too far. the only thing that will happen with any waterproof boot is it keeps the moisture on your feet, so make sure you have an extra pair of socks for mid-day swaps in the summer time. I was able to get these at a good price, so I ordered some. I read a few other reviews (after I bought but had the same experience as others.\r\n\r\nPros: I normally wear a 11W and that is what I ordered. No complaints on the sizing. Aggressive tread on these. They also seem durable and well made. I also like that they have Gore-Tex. I haven't tested how waterproof these are yet.\r\n\r\nCons: The laces are way too short for this boot. If you order them, go ahead and plan on ordering some 69-73 inch lases to replace the ones these come with. The plate that holds the lace hooks on the upper portion causes pain on my inner ankles. On the inside of the boots, there is an area that budges out some like the leather on that portion was cut too large and \"puffs\" out (circled in blue on my picture) The tongue is kind of puffy looking also.
