I bought a second pair a size smaller because I was planning to lose weight, but I ended up giving them to my adult son. These pants have snag and pull marks from raspberry and blackberry bushes in the chapped portion. They are comfortable but are not tough enough for upland use. I owned a pair of old ones that were made with denim versus the synthetic material, and those held up for 10+ years.
