Great pants. The pads are also very functional and comfortable. The pants are adorable and allow great movement going up and down the mountains in Colorado. They can be worn from late August through November with layering.
Extremely versatile pants. Durable enough to bust brush, and super quiet. Don't write these off for whitetail pants either. I wear them chasing squirrels in the woods, tree stand hunting down to about 35* with heavy baselayer, and even waterfowl hunting under my waders. They breath well, dry fast, are durable, and extremely comfortable. Don't know what else you can ask for in a pair of do-all hunting pants.
Tough!! I purchased these last month and have worn them on a NM Mcgregor Range Oryx and Barbary sheep hunt. We had 20 degree winds and warmer afternoon temps and this pant helped keep cool. Only need a thin layer underneath when temps hit the teens while glassing along cliff sides for sheep. The knee pads helped a ton crawling over rock and bomb fragments without hindering how quickly we move up hills and mountain sides. Hike trough nothing but sharp plants and spikes and pants came out untouched. Only gripe If anything is the Lower pant cuff is wider than expected and was snagging on a few small branches when making a few moves, nothing I couldn’t fix on the spot when moving slow. Nothing gaiters can’t fix.
The Sitka Mountain pants are built well with great pocket options and the knee pads are removable for the proper application. They were quiet and cut down the wind on my recent mule deer hunt. I look forward to trying them on the mountain next fall. I would highly recommend these pants.
I own these pants and they are they without a doubt the best hunting pants I have ever owned. Comfortable and the knee pads are perfect for when you are on your knees field dressing an animal or kneeling down on the ground strapping together your tree climber stand. Top quality pants. Worth every penny.
The Mountain Pant is a great pant, workable across multiple seasons and sports. I have a pair in Subalpine that work great for deer and turkey hunting in the midwest, both stalking and sitting in a stand. I layer fleece under them when the temperature drops. I also have a pair in "everyday" colors I use for hiking and other outdoor activities. After a year of regular use, both pair are in great shape. Comfort is great for both active pursuits and sitting. They even work well in light rain for active pursuits.
If I was to change one thing about them, I would add a knife pocket like I have on the Hanger Pant. It's nice to have a knife pocket for folding knives to keep them folded and make them easy to access.
I was always skeptical about Sitka and never wanted to spend the money just to find out. I had a friend who told me to go buy a set of mountain pants and to go preseason scouting and to tell him I didn’t love the pants. After two days, I was hooked. Sitka Is my go-to brand and every year I find myself picking up a couple more pieces. My advice is get the mountain pants and wear them for one hunting season, because you will be hooked.
This pant was one of my main reasons for choosing Sitka. The fit, construction, design and materials are phenomenal. Easily worth the money. They move with you so well you might forget you're wearing pants. I have no issues in fairly warm to fairly cold temps Order your regular jean size and ignore the sizing guide.
These are my go to pants for everything ! I’m a East coast guy I wear these for early deer season in the tree stand, scouting, still hunting in the gun season and turkey hunting. These pants are probably the best turkey hunting pants ever made with the knee pads. I run and gun and am a very aggressive turkey hunter. These knee pads make crawling so much easier no more rocks stabbing you in the knees. They also dry very quick if you get them wet and are durable and hold up to briars which is huge. Those two qualities are not something I’ve been able to find before.
The best pair of hunting pants I’ve owned. I’ve been hunting for over 40 years, I’m on the other side of sixty and the knee pads are great. Plenty of nice sized pockets and light and breathable when it’s hot.
I use these pants for early to mid-season hunts or hiking or camping. The weight is perfect and the pants are rugged. The removable knee pads are a real plus whether your are crawling through the woods after that Buck or just kneeling down by the campfire.
