The popups have forced me to restart this review two times. Saw this at Cove Outfitters at Mohegan Casino and really liked the color and was not aware they made an insulated Apex. Ordered Size Large I am 5'10\" about 195 lbs. Wore it first time yesterday, temps were in upper 20's with a light freezing rain switching to all rain later in the day. The jacket is very light and plenty warm enough for a 90 minute walk with the dogs. Fit was great with a sweatshirt under. I noticed later that the water was beading up nicely on the jacket so the DWR is working. But two things I did not like. This is just me but I prefer the hood adjustment in the back of the hood versus both sides on the front which this jacket has. Whenever I do the front cinches it always drops to eye level. The second thing is the sleeves do not have the velcro adjustment but just has a polyester cuff on the inside. The velcro adjustment is just so much better, especially with gloves. Please bring back the velcro adjustment cuffs for future versions. All in all would definitely recommend this jacket. This product is water resistant and wind resistant, not proof.
