I wear 32w 30l pants and the medium fits me perfectly. I use these when it gets below 40 deg F and they are comfortable all the way down to the mid 20s. They are not wind proof but I have yet to need a winter legging that is totally wind proof. They are not waterproof but they still kept me warm when they got wet from knee-deep powder. 99% of the time I wear my shorts over these. If it is sub-20s, then I just wear the 3.0 version under my shorts. They have a working fly which is a great feature that so many other leggings do not have. They are also thin enough that I can wear under work slacks. The skin-facing side is a unique waffle-like brushed surface that works amazingly well to regulate your body temperature.
