I think 10 liters would be better. But mainly it is bad that the hanger cannot be changed to the other side. The fact that it's not double-sided only allows for right diagonal hanging, which isn't very good. It would be nice if there was also a strap to kill the shaking.
My husband had been looking for something smaller than a backpack, but bigger than his pocket to carry water, wallet, keys, phone, etc in. While his phone does not fit in the phone pocket across the chest strap, overall the bag still functions well. Very happy with purchase.
This bag was not my first choice. I first went for a Kavu rope sling because I thought I liked the style better, and the pockets were bigger. But after using it once, i realized the larger size made it more awkward to manage and the hidden zippers made it a pain to open and close. I decided to give the Patagonia Atom sling a try instead, since it's a bit smaller than the Kavu. There are so many things to love about it. It's well thought out. The zippers are easily accessible. It's easy to manuver. I love the mini pouch on the strap, the quick release buckle, and the 2 straps on the back are great for buckling down a jacket or hydro flask (upside down). I use this as my "dog bag" when I do therapy visits with my dog at a nursing home, but it also was great for camping. Perfect size for myself, 5'5", 130lbs, and even my 10 year old daughter. Also looks great on my 6', 230 lb husband. You'll like it.
I got an outstanding deal with Scheels on this Patagonia sling bag. The order, delivery and the condition the bag arrived in was awesome. The bag arrived with tags on it, as evething else that is purchase anywhere should. Dick’s sports ships previously returned items without tags to their customers, Scheels never does that, they stick to their game. For that, Scheels just won a loyal customer. Thanks Scheels, keep up the good work!
I bought this sling to use on vacation. I needed something that was hands free, could carry a lot of essentials, and lightweight. This Patagonia Atom 8L, Sling was perfect. Since we did a lot of walking it was nice to have something that could handle all the stuff I needed to get in there, plus even had room for a 16 oz. bottle of water. The strap is made of nylon fabric so when adjusting to fit, it tends to slide and doesn't hold in place so you need to keep adjusting or find something to keep it from loosening up. Other than that minor problem, I highly recommend this product.
This bag could use a couple improvements. First, put a loop on the top before the strap for carrying convenience some of the time. Second, one mesh side pocket for water would help too. Other than this, I like the bag.
Perfect little pack; a sportier option than a purse. Also, if you carry concealed, the inner pocket holds a small holster like a glove, with plenty of room for other things in the main compartment. Great for those right-handed. Adjustable enough to carry it like a regular pack, or tighten it up to stay at your shoulders if you're crossing water/fly fishing/etc.
Good backpack replacement. Not as big but still handy
It’s a little smaller than I thought it would be. Won’t hold a newer iPhone in strap pocket. It’s nice and light and held a water bottle just fine. Works fairly well and better for me than a backpack. Just can’t get my arms behind me as much anymore.
Love the bag, just wish it didn't fall apart so fast
I absolutely love this bag! It's convenient, cute and practical. However I am very disappointed in how long it last. Within the first couple months the lettering came off, and the straps started to give me troubles. I'm hoping it was a fluke, but I honestly thought it would last me longer. Will purchase another and hope for a longer life.
I specifically bought this to use while I ride my bmx and unfortunately, because it doesn't have a waist strap, it swings around so much it became annoying. I had to constantly adjust the bag to my back every time I pedaled. I gave it a 3 star because its a nice pack to carry if you don't move vigorously. Unfortunately, the main purpose of my purchase was for bmx rides which did not perform well.
